As the vice president of programs for The Women’s Foundation of Colorado (WFCO), Louise Myrland leads research, public policy, grantmaking, and statewide community education and engagement efforts to accelerate progress toward economic security for 2.8 million Colorado women and their families. Her career, dedicated to advancing social justice through education, began in science education outreach. Prior to joining WFCO in 2014, Louise helped build the Denver Scholarship Foundation from its founding – she designed, led, and evaluated the organization’s college access, affordability, and success programs that propelled 4,000 Denver Public Schools graduates to pursue higher education in Colorado. She earned her Masters of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and her Bachelor of Science in chemistry from The Ohio State University.
