Jessica González-Rojas is a New York State Assemblymember, social justice leader, and lifelong reproductive health advocate. Prior to running for office in 2020, Assemblymember González-Rojas served in leadership at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, the only national reproductive justice organization that is dedicated to building Latina power to advance health, dignity, and justice for 29 million Latinas, their families, and communities in the United States.
Assemblymember González-Rojas has been a leader in progressive movements for over two decades. She successfully forges connections between reproductive health, gender, immigration, LGBTQ liberation, labor and Latinx civil rights, breaking down barriers between movements and building a strong Latina grassroots presence.
She serves as the Chair of the Subcommittee on Human Trafficking and on the Committee on Children and Families, Committee on Cities, Committee on Environmental Conservation, Task Force on New Americans, Puerto Rican/Hispanic Task Force, and Task Force on Women’s Issues.
